Biography

Jabari-Jason Tyson-Phipps is a dynamic problem solver and attorney with a wide experience base that ranges from investment banking to the U.S. Foreign Service.  He has a proven track record of success in a variety of fields, consulting clients on both business and legal matters.

Jabari’s professional experience includes teaching courses in law, entrepreneurship, and business management at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. Areas of instruction included intellectual property, contracts, labor/employment law, antitrust law, licensing, regulatory compliance, negotiation, and financial management at both the graduate and advanced undergraduate levels.

As a co-founder of FareHarbor Holding Inc., Jabari acted as its chief legal officer and general counsel, helping it grow into a multimillion-dollar company.  Jabari has also represented, and successfully defended, a well-known international media conglomerate from a multimillion-dollar intellectual property dispute. Additionally, for a Fortune 100 client, Jabari renegotiated hundreds of international sourcing and procurement agreements which resulted in over $50M in cost savings. In the field of entertainment, Jabari has provided counsel to several award-winning films.

Jabari gained experience in immigration law and Hague child abduction matters as a special agent and foreign service investigator for the United States Department of State, where he was a recipient of United States Department of State Meritorious Service Award which he was granted for dismantling a global human trafficking operation resulting in the rescue of hundreds of victims. Jabari has also served as an elected judge in the state of Pennsylvania.

Today, Jabari’s practice focuses on providing outside general counsel services for start-ups, and small businesses, which includes providing advice and counsel regarding intellectual property law, competition law, social media law, alternative dispute resolution matters, entertainment law, as well as providing outside investigation services for audits and compliance purposes.
